NewsFebruary 15th, 2010About 15 years ago I developped the Bolster-Lock and the Inlay-Lock. I was wanting a framelock knife but with more of a traditional look and maintaining a slim profile. The results of my labor were these 2 locks. The Bolster-Lock is taking a thick piece of titanium and machining 2/3 of the titanium leaving a liner with an integral bolster. The bolster is then split with the liner similarly to a framelock for the locking mechanism. The inlay lock but instead of a bolstered knife it was an inlayed material. Since then many makers and manufacturers have utilized this clever way of combining some of the 2 favorite knife constructions. I decided to revisit the past and make a series of Bolster-Locks that I am posting for sale. You can see the knives here. I am proud to present several new collaborations which were introduced at the Shot Show in January: First a newcomer to the knife industry but a very well known name in the firearms world: Hogue teamed up with me to develop their line of Extreme Knives. You can find out more and see the knives here. Secondly, Pro-Tech is producing my Doru design in an automatic version that is really awesome. The knife is not yet shown on their website but it should be shortly so contact Dave Wattenberg for further information: Pro-Tech's website. And lastly, CRKT is now producing a great pen that I have designed for them: You can see it here. I have a new t-shirt design available! This new one was designed by a friend of mine and features a Spartan warrior. They are available in M, L, XL and 2XL. Click here for details. I have recently discontinued several models I have had for several years and updated the website with some new models introduced in the past year. I plan to introduce new models soon so stay tuned! Click here to see all the models I am currently making. There is a new forum on the internet in which I have my own sub-forum. It is called www.customknivesandguns.com. You need to register to be able to read and post but it is free. It is a great place with all kinds of people and topics. Take a minute to visit the new forum and my personal forum. You now have the possibility to sign up to receive an email when we add new pieces available to the website: Sign up here.
